Good afternoon,
Hoping you are staying warm on this very wintery day. Those warm days were a tease for Spring but it will surely get here.
- Confessions this weekend will be at 1pm instead of 4pm.
- March 28 is our parish penance service at 6pm. Mass that day will be at 9 am.
- There will be a Parish Mission on the Eucharist by Father Samuel Hakeem OP. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, March 20, 21, 22 at 6:30 pm, mass followed by presentation. He will be speaking about:
The Eucharist in History (Monday) Eucharistic Devotions (Tuesday) Communion: Personal & in Action (Wednesday)
- There is a lady on the Spain trip with Father in May that is looking for a roommate. Father has the details if you are interested.
- There are envelopes on the Parish Office Table for Easter flowers. If you would like to donate in honor of a loved one, please pick one up and fill it out.
- Be sure to check the bulletin and Lenten handout for Holy Week schedule.
- The funeral for Amy Miyaki will be on April 27 at 10:30 am in church.

- The Emmaus Journey Bible Study is on Thursday evenings at 6:30 until March 30. Please bring your bible and join us as we study the seven short sentences uttered by Jesus as he endured his crucifixion.
- There will be a community penance service on March 28 at 6:00 pm in the Church.
- The Knights of Columbus are hosting a Men’s Retreat on March 18 from 8 am to 4pm in the gym. There are flyers at the Parish Office Table. Please be sure to pick one up and join them for a blessed day.
- Reminder that the 3pm confessions and 4pm mass will return to 4pm confessions and 5 pm mass on March 18.
- Next weekend is when the time changes to Daylight Savings Time. Be sure to turn your clocks forward.

Lent is upon us. There are several free items at the Parish Office Table for you to use. Be sure to pick up a packet before or after mass.
- The Emmaus Journey Bible Study will begin on Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 pm -8:00 pm. It invites readers to study the seven short sentences uttered by Jesus as he endured his crucifixion, bringing the real meaning of Easter alive! This study will run for seven sessions starting on February 23rd and ending March 30th.
- Please pick up an Annual Catholic Appeal envelope and pledge card if you didn’t receive one in the mail at the Parish Office Table.
- Ash Wednesday masses are at 9am, 12pm and 6pm.
- We would like to have a choir for the Easter Vigil mass. If you are interested in joining, please give your name to Pam. You will be notified of practice times. Everyone is invited.
- We have received information from Hallow for Lent and is a wonderful ap. The flyers are at the Parish Office Table.
- Men’s Retreat. Please see the attached flyer for information
- Funeral for Juan Santiago is March 1 with rosary at 10:00 followed by mass at 10:30.

Feb. 10th,Good afternoon:
- Due to a shortage of paper, the envelope company that we use were unable to send the February envelopes. Please use the blue or white envelopes at the Parish Office Table or the ones in the pews. Please make sure you have your name and address on the envelope and which collection you wish the money to be put in. You can put 1st collection, Building Fund, Catholic Education or St. Vincent DePaul. We are sorry for the inconvenience. You should already be receiving your March envelopes.

- There will be a healing mass and service on February 10th beginning at 5:15 with confessions, anointing and mass at 6:30pm.
- The Knights will be giving away cookies on February 11th & 12th at all Masses as a Thank-You for your support and a pre-Valentine's gift.
- Next Saturday, February 11 confessions will be at 1:00 instead of 3pm.
- Ash Wednesday is coming up this month. Masses are at 9am, 12pm and 6pm.

Good Afternoon,- The tax donation letters are available at the Parish Office Table before and after all masses this weekend. Be sure to pick yours up.
- This week (February 3-4)is First Friday: Holy hour 5:30 and mass at 6:30 and First Saturday: 9:00 am mass.
- There will be a healing mass and service on February 10 beginning at 5:15 with confessions, anointing and mass at 6:30pm
- The students and teachers from St. Charles School will be our lectors and servers for the masses this weekend. We welcome them and thank them for serving. Let us keep all Catholic School teachers, staff, parents and students in our prayers and wish them a wonderful Catholic Schools Week.

Good afternoon,It looks like winter is back with us and maybe some snow, rain and then a rainbow!!
- We are working on the tax contribution letters and they will be ready on Wednesday. You can pick them up in the office between 8am and 1pm or at the Parish Office table on the weekends.
- The Catholic Charismatic Center is hosting a Winter retreat in the St. Charles Gym on January 28 from 8am to 4pm. Please pick up a flyer for information on registering at the Parish Office Table. All are invited.
- There will be a healing mass and service on February 10th beginning at 5:15 with confessions, anointing and mass at 6:30pm.
- Ash Wednesday is on February 22. We will have a 9am, 12pm and 6pm mass.

Good afternoon,
Here are some happenings at St. Charles in the next few weeks.
- We will be putting the annual tax donation letters together the middle of January. Once they are printed, they will be available in the office Tuesday through Friday from 8am to 1pm and on the weekends before and after each mass. If you prefer your letters to be emailed to you, please sign up at the Parish Office Table with your name and email.
- The Catholic Charismatic Center is hosting a Winter retreat in the St. Charles Gym on January 28 from 8am to 4pm. A flyer is attached if you wish to register.
- We will be celebrating the Lunar New Year next weekend at the 7pm mass. All are invited to join in the celebration.

It is good to be back with my St. Charles community. Here are some weekly Highlights and the bulletin.
- The Knights of Columbus are having a pancake breakfast in the Parish Hall on Sunday, January 8 from 10am to 2pm. Enjoy some good eats.
- We will be putting the annual tax donation letters together the middle of January. We will let you know as soon as they are available. If you prefer your letters to be emailed please let me know. There will be a sign up sheet at the Parish Office Table.
- Don’t forget to get your preferred dates on the Flower Sponsor calendar.

Sorry about the email and bulletin for last week but the flu bug got me and wouldn’t let go. Here are the updates for this week
- All mass intentions and Christmas flowers need to be in by December 16. Anything received after that date will be put in for after January 6, 2023.
- We are in need of guitar players and musicians to help out with Las Posadas, December 16-24. Please call Deana Hernandez (505-238-5533) to set up times and dates. Thank you for your help.
- Las Posadas is December 16, 19-24 at 6pm. The weekends will be done at one of the masses. There will be posole or green chili stew served in the Parish Hall following the service.
- The 2023 Flower Sponsor paper is out. Be sure to get your dates early.
- The Knights will be selling Posole after all masses this weekend. Yum!! They are still taking orders for tamales and chili rellenos. They also have missals for $6.
- 2023 Calendars are at the Parish office table. Please only take one per family until all masses have had a chance to get one. Thank you.
- We celebrate this weekend Father Vincent's 20th anniversary of being a priest. There will be goodies after mass. Be sure to stop and congratulate him.

Nov. 18th,Good afternoon,
The upcoming holidays will be upon us soon. We are preparing for all the celebrations.
- Bingo is on Sunday at 1:00. See you there!
- The Knights are selling 2023 Missals and taking orders for Tamales and Chili Rellenos in the committee room after all masses.
- We will have mass at 9am on Thanksgiving Day. The office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 24-25.
- Lectors please pick up you lector book in the Sacristy. Be sure to sign your name on the sheet provided.
- There will now be a Holy Hour at 5:30 and Mass at 6:30 every Friday.
- Advent begins next weekend. The giving tree will be up and all things Advent at the Parish Office Table. Be sure to pick them up.
- Calendars for 2023 will be out the weekend of December 3-4.
